How do I know that you are qualified and experienced?A counsellor should have completed a reputable training and have sufficient experience to help you. Always ensure that your counsellor is registered with either the UKCP, BACP, BPC or BABCP which means they will abide by a code of ethics. An accredited member will be more experienced.

What will my first session look like?I will spend a few minutes introducing myself and getting to know you and talking about what to expect from the sessions. We may talk about what brought you to counselling or I may just ask you to tell me your story.

How long will a session last?You will usually have a number of planned, regular sessions lasting for about 50-60 minutes per session. How often we see each other and how many session you have will depend on your own individual circumstances.

What will we talk about?What we will talk about will vary depending on what you would like help with. For example we may talk about your relationships, your childhood, your emotions, your thoughts and behaviours or siutations or events that you may be finding difficult.

How much will it cost?The standard charge is £80 per session for individuals and £90 for couples. Concessions are available, for example if you are a student - please ask me for more details.
